Our 2050 Net Zero Plan

Inspired 360 Wellbeing CIC is committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, in line with the UK Government's legally binding commitment under the Climate Change Act and the national Net Zero Strategy.

As a community-focused organisation delivering wellbeing, education, advocacy and support services, we recognise our responsibility to minimise our environmental impact while creating positive social value within the communities we serve.

This Carbon Reduction Plan outlines our commitment, objectives and actions to reduce carbon emissions across our operations and supply chain.

Organisational Commitment

Inspired 360 Wellbeing CIC is committed to:

  • Achieving Net Zero carbon emissions by 2050.
  • Reducing greenhouse gas emissions year-on-year.
  • Embedding sustainability into decision-making and service delivery.
  • Promoting environmentally responsible behaviours amongst staff, associates, partners and service users.
  • Supporting the environmental objectives of our clients, commissioners and stakeholders.
  • Reviewing progress annually and updating this plan as required.

Responsibility for delivering this plan rests with the Senior Leadership Team, who will oversee implementation, monitoring and continuous improvement activities.

Baseline Emissions Assessment

As a growing organisation, Inspired 360 Wellbeing CIC is undertaking the development of a formal carbon emissions baseline. Initial assessments indicate that the primary sources of emissions arise from:

Scope 1

Direct emissions from:

  • Business-owned or leased vehicles (where applicable).
  • Fuel consumption associated with operational activities.

Scope 2

Indirect emissions from:

  • Purchased electricity used within office and service delivery locations.

Scope 3

Other indirect emissions including:

  • Staff business travel.
  • Employee commuting.
  • Homeworking energy consumption.
  • Purchased goods and services.
  • Waste disposal and recycling.
  • Digital and cloud-based services.
  • Supply chain activities.

A formal carbon baseline will be established and reviewed annually to support measurable reductions.

Carbon Reduction Objectives

By 2030

  • Reduce operational carbon emissions by at least 30%.
  • Introduce carbon-conscious procurement practices.
  • Increase digital service delivery to reduce unnecessary travel.
  • Achieve 100% paper-light administrative processes where practical.
  • Establish environmental performance monitoring and reporting.

By 2040

  • Reduce operational carbon emissions by at least 60%.
  • Transition to predominantly low-emission transport options.
  • Source electricity from renewable energy suppliers where under organisational control.
  • Embed sustainability requirements throughout supplier engagement and procurement processes.

By 2050

  • Achieve Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions across all operational activities.
  • Address residual emissions through verified carbon reduction and offsetting initiatives where emissions cannot be eliminated entirely.
